Hello there! My name is Meggan Burke, and I am excited to be a fifth grade teacher at Marrama for the 2025-2026 school year! This year is my eighteenth year in elementary education; I have taught every grade from kindergarten to sixth grade. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Longwood University in Virginia. Although I taught first grade my first year here at Marrama, I CAN’T WAIT to dig into my third year in fifth grade! I love help my students grow and develop a love of learning! I love teaching all subjects, and am so inspired by the growth I see each year with my students.
When I’m not teaching, I love to spend time reading, exploring with my husband, first grade daughter, and one year old daughter. We love to visit new places, try new food, and make new memories as a family. This is the third state we have lived and explored in, we lived in Virginia and Texas before! We also have a fur-baby named Cleo; she is a sweet black cat.
