Summer Connections

Summer Connections is a fun five weeks where your child will be exposed to content from their upcoming grade. All rising first through fifth grade DPS students are encouraged to apply!

*   No cost to families

*   Full day programming from June 17, 2024 to July 19, 2024

*   No school on June 19th, July 4th, and July 5th

*   Literacy, math, science, and hands-on learning!

We encourage families to commit to the full five-week program.

Registration

Registration opened Friday, Feb. 16 and will close Friday, April 26. 

To enroll your student at a participating DPS school for the free summer program, log into your Parent Portal account and look for the Summer Connections Program.

Summer Connections

Schedule & Locations

Summer Connections runs for five weeks, from June 17 through July 19. No school on June 19, July 4 or July 5.

Bus transportation may be available but not guaranteed. Breakfast and lunch will be available at all Summer Connections locations.

Program locations and hours include: 

• Castro Elementary – 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Joe Shoemaker Elementary – 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Swansea Elementary – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Barnum Elementary – 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Creative Challenge Community: C3 – 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Farrell B. Howell – 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Green Valley Elementary – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Center for Talent Development at Greenlee – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Columbian Elementary – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Westerly Creek Elementary – 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
