No School Oct 13th 🎃 FALL FESTIVAL - Oct. 30th, 4:00 to 6:30

5th Grade

It’s been a busy month in fifth grade! In literacy and social studies, we are exploring ancient Mesoamerican cultures, including the Maya, Inca, and Aztecs. We are also practicing how to use evidence from our reading to write expository pieces. In math, we’re tackling fractions, with a focus on multiplying and dividing them. We’ll be working on fractions all year, with the goal of mastering all four operations by the end of the year. Our science unit on the patterns of the earth and sky has also been a huge hit, giving students a fascinating glimpse into space and how we move within it.
