Topic: How to View Trimester 1 Progress Reports & Set Up Winter Weather Alerts

With the end of Trimester 1 approaching, this guide walks you through viewing your child’s progress report in the DPS Parent Portal and updating your contact settings for winter weather delays and snow days.

Part 1: How to View Trimester 1 Report Cards

Denver Public Schools uses Standards-Based Progress Reports.Instead of traditional letter grades (A–F), your child receives performance indicators (1–4) showing their progress toward specific grade-level skills.

  1. Log In to the Parent PortalGo to portal.dpsk12.org on a web browser or open the official DPS App.
  2. Navigate to the GradebookClick Report Card near the top left of the menu, then click Infinite Campus Gradebook.
  3. Select Your StudentIf you have multiple children enrolled in DPS, click the student drop-down menu in the top right corner and select your Marrama student.
  4. Select Trimester 1 (T1)Click Grades from the left navigation menu and ensure T1 is selected to view skill-by-skill progress.

Understanding the 1–4 Scale:

  • 4 = Exceeding standard expectations
  • 3 = Meeting grade-level expectations
  • 2 = Approaching expectations
  • 1 = Not Yet Meeting expectations

Part 2: Set Up Emergency & Winter Weather Alerts

November in Denver brings cold weather and potential snow delays. Ensure your contact settings are enabled to receive instant texts and calls for 2-hour delays or school closures.

  1. Open Settings Inside the DPS Parent Portal or DPS App, navigate to Account / Contact Preferences.
  2. Verify Contact Information Confirm that your current mobile number and primary email address are listed correctly.
  3. Enable Text/Call Alerts Check the boxes for Emergency and General Notifications under both Text (SMS) and Phone options.
  4. Save Changes Save your preferences before logging out.
