Denver Public Schools (DPS) uses Thrillshare (by Apptegy) to power Rooms, the district’s primary parent-teacher communication platform. Built directly into the official Denver Public Schools App, Rooms replaces legacy tools like ClassDojo and Remind, consolidating classroom feeds, school announcements, and direct messaging into a single mobile experience.

Step-by-Step Parent Setup Tutorial

  1. Download the Official DPS App
    • Search for “Denver Public Schools” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (do not search for “Thrillshare” or “Apptegy”).Look for the app displaying the official DPS logo.
  2. Navigate to Rooms
    • Open the app and tap the Rooms tab located in the bottom menu bar.
  3. Sign In with Parent Portal Credentials
    • Tap Continue to Sign In.
    • Enter the guardian email address or mobile phone number associated with your DPS Parent Portal / Infinite Campus account.
  4. Enter Verification Code
    • If using email, select Log in with code and check your inbox.If using a phone number, enter the text code sent to your mobile device.
  5. Set Language Preferences
    • Select your primary language when prompted to enable automatic message translation.
  6. Enable Notifications
    • Tap More (bottom right) $\rightarrow$ Settings Gear (top right) $\rightarrow$ Notification Preferences.Turn on Push Notifications so you do not miss teacher messages.
