4th Grade
Ms. Chavarria has made the decision not to come back for the remainder of the school year, and she will be on leave. We will be holding her position for next year. We only need 3 fourth grade teachers for the 26-27 school year; therefore, we will need to RIB a 4th grade teacher. We have been looking for a long-term substitute; however, we have been unable to fill this position. Consequently, we will need to split up this classroom. Seven students from each classroom will be added to each of the pre-existing 4th grade classrooms. Additional classroom support for our 4th grade teachers and students will be provided to our teachers from our paras and/or Senior Team Leads.
3rd Grade
Ms. Swazo is currently supporting Mr. Marzolla; however, student numbers are very low and these ELD students would benefit from exposure to their peers as well as English language, academic rigor, and discourse. Therefore, this class will be merged into Mr. Vargas’ class. Mr. Marzolla will be teaching literacy in Mr. Vargas’ class and will be specifically supporting our Spanish-speaking students. Ms. Swazo will go back to her original schedule and continue to support our ELD students.
