1st Grade

Maria Rodriguez

My name is Maria Rodriguez and I am excited to be your 1st grade teacher! I’m a Michigan native and graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Special Education. I made Colorado my home a few years ago. Before Colorado I lived in Arizona where I taught 1st grade. I love everything about Colorado and I especially love teaching at Marrama Elementary School. First grade is my favorite grade to teach because we get to learn how to become better readers and writers. I enjoy being outside! I love skiing, hiking, kayaking and exploring all the wonderful things Colorado has to offer.

Alex Molleck

Hello! My name is Alex Molleck. I am excited to be in first grade at Marrama! I recently graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver where I received my bachelor’s degree in English and elementary education. This is my second year teaching and I am honored that I get to begin this journey at Marrama. I am a lifelong learner and have always enjoyed school. I hope to cultivate that same passion and excitement for learning in my students, and I think there is no better place to start than in the 1st grade!

I am a Colorado native, yet I have never been skiing. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones. I love anything that makes me laugh whether it comes in the form of a movie, TV show, book, or just getting to know someone new.

Danielle Dexter

Hi! My name is Danielle Dexter and I couldn’t be happier to be one of the 1st grade teachers at Marrama Elementary. I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and graduated from Regis University in North, Denver. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education as well as an emphasis in literacy. Some of my favorite things include being with friends and family, pizza, the Denver Broncos and reading! 1st grade is a special year to learn many new things and I can’t wait to begin our journey together.
