Janet Matthews – Literacy Instructional Coach
Aran Nulty – Literacy Intervention
This is my 8th year as a teacher, my 3rd year in DPS, and my 1st year as an Interventionist. I love teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders to ask questions and think critically about their world. Some life experiences that inform my teaching: I have been on a member of a Federal jury, completed an ironman, and traveled by bicycle from Mexico to Bolivia. I knit, cook, garden, mom, and (most recently) raise chickens. I have visited 40 states (taught in 4) and 32 countries. I’m so excited to be part of the Marrama team!
This is my 14th year at Marrama. I have taught 2nd grade at Marrama as well. Working with second language learners is a rewarding experience. I have reared two sons; one who has finished college and one that is completing college who also went to Marrama. When I’m not teaching I enjoy making gift baskets, reading, watching movies, cooking, and traveling.
I’m Paula Garrison. I am the Speech-Language Pathologist. This is my fourth year at Marrama but 28th year as a school-based SLP. I enjoy reading and will start a class in American Sign Language this Fall. I’m looking forward to this year.
Vita Haire – Nurse
Hello from the Health Office,
I’m Vita Haire and excited to be the new School Nurse. I’ve been asked to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a retired military spouse and mother of three grown sons. Due to the opportunities awarded to us thru the US Air Force, I’ve worked in several different areas of nursing. I also got to meet so many wonderful people from different countries and different cultures. I enjoy working as a team, sharing our talents in order to provide the best that we can.
