My name is Andra Parks. I teach Special Education in Room 102 (MIS) along with my counterpart, Peter Wolf in Room 107. This year will be my 7th year at Marrama and it will be my 28th year as a Special Education Teacher. My husband and I are from Michigan. We met at Grand Valley State University which is near Grand Rapids. We were in the Peace Corps together in Morocco, and then moved to Atlanta. I received my Masters of Education at Georgia State University in 1995. We moved from Atlanta to Denver in 1998, when my husband was offered a job at the Denver Zoo. We have 2 boys; Nathan is 20 and studies environmental science at CSU. Aidan is 14 and will be a freshman at East High School this year . I love teaching at Marrama! All of the staff and students are wonderful. My students are amazing and make my job extremely fun. They teach me every day how to be more patient, kind and creative. Everyone is invited to visit Room 102 anytime and meet the BEST students in the world!
This is my second year at Marrama Elementary. I moved last year from Arizona and love living in the beautiful state of Colorado. My passion is teaching and working with students with many different strengths and strive to push them past their limits to fulfill their educational goals. Looking forward to a great year!
